Activities are not always planned but children are given the opportunity to choose what they would like to do. Children eagerly take part in organised activities, or happily select their own resources for play. They have access to a wide range of toys and resources presented on open shelves to encourage them to make independent choices in play and develop their imagination.
Activities are also developed depending on celebrations or requests from children as it is there choice to participate. Because of the new kitchen children have requested that once a month they will bake a cake to celebrate birthdays in that month. Due to the club being a non profit voluntary organisation the stock, including toys and provisions are annually replenished. The children have a say in how the money is spent and choose what they would like to see in the club which encourages them to gain ownership in their club and respect its contents.
